4th of July Parade

Posted on Jun 24 2024 - 11:41am

4th of July Parade.  Meet at Hassler 45 minutes before start of parade to decorate bikes/trailer.

On Tuesday July 4rd, we have the Gleannloch Farms 4th of July parade that our pack will participate in. We would love to have as many scouts and family members join us in the parade! The parade route is from Hassler elementary, traveling on Gleannloch Forest Dr. and Northpoint Blvd. until we reach the GLF athletic complex.

This year we will have a trailer that the scouts can ride on, or if you like you can ride your bike (or walk \ jog) in the parade behind the Pack 1999 trailer. We will decorate the trailer with streamers.  If you choose to ride a bike, please feel free to decorate your bike in a patriotic or Pack 1999 theme. Also please have your scouts wear their blue Pack 1999 t-shirts or scout uniform.  If you are riding a bike please bring a helmet and please bring water.

If you have candy to toss to the parade watchers please bring it as well. We will have some candy to distribute but the candy tends to be distributed very quickly and there is never enough.

We are planning to meet at Hassler at 9:00 AM on Tuesday to begin the decorating of the trailer. The parade organizers want everyone to be ready by 9:45am for a 10:00 AM start.  We will ride with Pack 217 from Frank like last year.

There are going to be games and the water activities at the athletic center after the parade; so we suggest you bring a change of clothes and towel.  Scouts need to be picked up at the other end of the parade route.
